So, tell me if i'm missing something here. You want people to perform the work of writing for you, and pay you to do it?

That’s very good. Yes, there’s not much of a business there anymore in print publishing. The internet and communications tech have really been a broadside torpedo to the boats that float paying creative expression. In publishing, it’s worse than just the expectation not to be offered payment. When i was a young guy sending queries out all over the place, I always got a response. It may have simply been a form letter that came in the mail, but by god you got that at least, and just as often it was an editor writing back. Today? It’s the norm not to get a response of any kind. As though you’ve taken your inquiry, shredded it and thrown it to the wind. The recipients always invoke the “we’re so busy” clause - which i believe in the publishing industry is a form of virtue signaling - but what it really is in part at least is the slipping of general social etiquette. I mean, they’re so busy - how unique!
